"Why young people from Madrid or St. Petersburg are choosing London and not Tallinn as a place to live and work?"

I believe it is newspeak. I believe he meant "lets attract some fine third worlders who have an engineer education diploma at University of Zaire".

I think that's the wrong approach. London is beyond our means, but we may ask indeed, why Estonia does not attract people from Spain or Greece, regardless 50%+ youth unemployment and their ruined economies.

Knut you mean educated people like engineers? Maybe because Estonia doesn't have any companies like Vodafone, Ericsson, Nokia or Statoil that these few educated people apply.

Well maybe they have small Ericsson unite there, big deal. Still no companies like HP, GM or GE.

So he goes on and on with his fantasies about attracting smart young Europeans, but then closes it off with some comments about work and residence permits - which shouldn't be an issue for most Europeans anyway (those in the EU/EEA). Why is he conflating the two? Reply to the comment answer

I believe he meant to say "losers who will do the work even more cheaply than these eesti clowns".

Stumbled on this news/article. Decided to check out the company website, www.elisa.ee

The website is only offered in estonian and russian.

Do I need to say more?

One should start by changing ones own attitude, and the attitude of the company one is running before starting to demand changes of others. Reply to the comment answer

Maybe because only poor retards from Norfolk visit Estonia.

This is not an easy process but it must start somewhere. London, Paris and NY will still attract people way better than Tallinn. Just a fact. Politicians, business leaders and other relevant groups must come together and make sure that Estonia is the most attractive place to invest and live in the region for a start and then build from there.

Being a foreigner myself living in Tallinn i do not understand why most of the commentators above are such wankers. This is a very nice place.....in need of improvements indeed but still great place to live and run your company. Reply to the comment answer

How do they want to attract young smart Europeans, if the young smart Estonians are allready leaving the country? Very strange. Reply to the comment answer
