Today, Enterprise Estonia (EAS) started aid programmes until 2013 for marketing and trade fairs abroad, which help to increase the export of Estonian enterprises to foreign markets. The programme budget, co-funded with European Regional Development Fund, reaches EEK 130 million.

According to Maria Alajõe, member of the board of EAS, so far the state has organised the representation of enterprises at trade fairs abroad, but offering aid for marketing and visiting such fairs as well as participating in them is unique, writes postimees.ee.

“These supports haven’t been thought of in some office, requests for such aid has came from entrepreneurs, who already operate abroad or are considering turning to export,” Alajõe remarked.

The aid may also be applied for by the representatives of creative sectors through their trade unions, for example designers through Estonian Association of Designers. One project may receive aid from EEK 50,000 up to EEK 700,000, which will cover 50 pct of the project lasting up to 12 months.

In addition to the recent programmes, EAS export marketing programme also supports export of local enterprises, also co-funded by European Regional Development Fund. Applying for aid from there started in the end of February and the budget of the programme until 2013 is EEK 400 million.
