Why to be solidair????
Because it is the essence of the European Union. Baltic area is a huge netto receiver but it seems that Lithuania only wants to be a receiving member. Reply to the comment answer

But they produce something euros rarely have. Good basketball players. Estonia and Latvia produce drunkards, prostitutes, drug addicts, criminals and HIV patients.

I think also Poland is wise enough to stay away from the euro untill the euro-club has sorted out the problems and the economies grow again, - or the euro has collapsed Reply to the comment answer

This is not a bad idea. If they join now, I assume they have to pay millions into the ESF that will be used to bail out Greece and other weak eurozone economies. If they wait a few years, then maybe they will no longer need to pay in. Sounds like a wise fiscal decision to me. Reply to the comment answer
