Head of telecom appointed to supervisory board of Baltika

Valdo Kalm who is chairman of Estonian Telekom, Estonia’s largest telecommunications company, has been appointed to the supervisory board of listed fashion retailer Baltika.

Meelis Milder, CEO and large shareholder of Baltika, said that as head of a listed technology and telecom company, Kalm was definitely going to be valuable for Baltika.

Both Milder and Kalm known one another a long time, with both being members of the board of Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Valdo Kalm has a long and successful career within the Eesti Telekom Group.

In year 2000 he was appointed CEO of the fixed wire company Elion. In 2003 he was appointed CEO of the mobile company EMT and in 2007 the Chairman of the Management Board of Eesti Telekom, positions he holds till today. Valdo Kalm does not own Baltika shares.

Other members of the supervisory board are Tiina Mõis, Reet Saks, Lauri Kustaa Äimä and Jaakko Sakari Mikael Salmelin.
