Reform Party’s eminence gris builds up a business empire
21.09.2012, 11:08Rain Rosimannus, one of the most powerful figures in the Reform Party, says he has pulled back from active politics and is focusing on developing is various businesses, writes Äripäev.
Rosimannus has recently started various businesses in different fields. His company OÜ Väädi has invested in a cable TV business, co-owns a consultancy together with national security expert Eerik-Niiles Kross, and recently invested in companies that rebuild ambulances and coach buses, trade in special lubricants, as well as has extensive property investments.
One of the most recent investments of Rosimannus was the 3.6-hectare property that is former territory of Arsenal, former weapons manufacturer. The property was bought in July by investment banker Aadu Oja who then set up Arsenal Holding with David Steward Coolidge and sold part of the company to Rosimannus. Oja says that it’s too early to talk about plans with the Arsenal property in Northern Tallinn.
